The jewellery I work with is ASTM:F 135 implant grade titanium, either internally threaded or threadless.
This is a wonderfully safe material due to its resistance to attack by body fluids. 

It is nickel free and hypo-allergenic. 

Titanium weighs much less than steel, yet is three times as strong. 

Being suitably strong and lightweight, implant grade titanium is top-notch for both fresh piercings and healed piercings! 

All my jewellery stockists are approved and comply with strict guidelines. 

I am committed to giving my clients the best service I possibly can, especially on the jewellery front.

I do not offer numbing. Numbing creams & freeze sprays make the tissue contract. The tissue relaxes when the freeze/numb wears off, a piercing that has been numbed or frozen can often end up crooked or too deep. 

• You could be allergic to the numbing cream/freeze spray.
• It makes the area tougher to pierce, making it more uncomfortable for you and harder for me.
• Freezing/numbing hinders the healing process of the piercing as it’s double the trauma for the tissue that is undergoing the process.
• It can cause the skin to dry out and crack. 

I can assure you that you do not need to be numb! The process is over in a simple inhale and exhale. Wiggle your toes! I play soothing music in my room for you to focus on, I have flavoured glucose tablets at the ready for you to enjoy after your piercing too! Its never as bad as your brain makes out it’s going to be (natural response) and you’ll be chuffed with the results! You’ve got this, I promise!

I recommend you wait until after your holiday to get your piercing.
High temperatures can cause more swelling, and you’ll be strongly advised to skip out on swimming in the pools or treating yourself to a hot tub & sauna session.

yes, you will need an appointment for all piercing services with me.
This includes check ups and jewellery makeovers. 

I prefer to be appointment based as I find it easier to work from a schedule. 

Booking in allows me to dedicate my time solely to you and your needs throughout the duration of your appointed time slot! 

You can bring ONE other person with you, but please do not turn up in a gaggle of multiple people. 

It’s just not that kind of studio. 

Your plus one will have to wait in reception as my piercing room isn’t massive and I find it distracting to have too many people in my room whilst I work. 

But I promise you’ll be just fine, I’ll take great care of you!

No. Each piercing I perform is done so using brand new, sterilised jewellery from a reputable stockist. 

I will not use anything purchased outside of the studio. 

However, there are heaps of beautiful pieces available in house for you to purchase at the time of your appointment, for fresh and healed piercings!

I will prep the area I am about to pierce using an alcohol wipe or two and iodine. I will then go ahead and mark you up using a sterile cocktail stick and gentian violet ink, have you check my mark-up to ensure you’re happy with the planned placement and then we’ll hit the next stage which is the physical piercing!

I choose to perform most of my piercings freehand for greater precision and control of the tissue. 

I will use clamps for sites such as the Septum, Tongue & Lobes. I will use receiving tubes for sites such as Rook, Daith, Forward Helix and Nostril.

I pierce using blade needles from Thats The Point UK, or Mosquito cannula needles (for piercings such as a nostril, rook, daith or septum where the cannula is helpful to transfer the jewellery). 

I use non-sterile gloves to prep, and then swap to sterile gloves for the piercing. 

I will tell you to take a nice deep breath in, and upon exhaling you’ll feel a wee sharpness to the area followed by warmth! Then once the piercing process is over I’ll treat you to a relieving  saline cool down. It’s the best part. This soothes the area that has undergone the piercing process, as well as wipes away any left over ink, iodine or bleeds. .

Then your beautiful new adornment is all yours to see, enjoy and flaunt! 

You’ll then have the option to nibble on a tasty vegan & gluten free glucose treat after the procedure to rebalance your sugars if the adrenaline rush leaves you feeling a little woozy. 

Titanium anodising is an electrolytic finishing process that changes the surface colour of the titanium piece via electric current. Colour options are gold, rose gold, pink, purple, blurple, light blue, dark blue, teal, green, and bronze.

This is a 100% safe and none toxic way of jazzing up your jewellery.

Irritation bumps (granulomas) are quite common even though they can be unsightly! 

The good news is, so long as you’ve caught it early, it isn’t a keloid. Granulomas manifest into a keloid when nothing has been done to tackle it in the first place. 

Irritation bumps are usually caused by trauma to the piercing such as catching it, whacking it or sleeping on it. 

A great way to help tackle your irritation bump is with a hot compress. I advise using a pure chamomile tea bag as a hot compress! Steep the tea bag into hot water, give it a squeeze, when it’s as warm you can stand simply hold it on the area until it goes stone cold. Do this once a day for a week or so and you should notice the bump visibly reduce. 

Legal, in date, government issued photographic ID must be brought to your appointment regardless of your age. You’ll be required to complete a consent form which is a legally binding document at the time of your appointment and proof of your ID is attached to this. My consent forms are fully inclusive and have a section where you can declare your chosen names & pronouns ❤️
